FAQs

I am a Master’s prepared Nurse Practitioner specialized in Psychiatric/Mental Health. I can assure you that does not mean that you will receive any less care than you would a physician, doctor or psychiatrist.
Many studies have also found that patient outcomes for nurse practitioners are equivalent to, and in some cases better than, those of physicians.
We do not offer strict psychotherapy services at this time; however we do emphasize psychotherapeutic interventions when meeting for medication management appointments.
This is a case-by-case basis and something that you can address in the first session.
Typically, it is recommended that one is in therapy to enhance the effectiveness of medications and other treatment options.
Office hours are Mondays through Thursdays.
Appointment times are based on clinician and patient availability.
Both services are available currently.
It is to be noted that intakes and appointments for those 18 years of age or younger are in-person visits only.
We sure do!
Currently we take Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Optum plans.
Please fill out our inquiry form to detail a little about yourself and what services you are looking for. You will receive a phone call and/or email to determine if this practice may be a good fit for you.
Yes, we do.
A cancellation fee of $150 will be applied to your account if you fail to notify the office of a need to cancel or reschedule the appointment 24 hours in advance. Kindly note that this is a cost that insurance will not cover.

Note: There are many ways to get into the building and office, this is EP’s suggestion!

Upon turning into the parking lot you will park along the “long side” of the building. An entrance will be on your right, the parking available around this entrance would be optimal.

You will need to ring in to enter the building and upon walking in, you will eventually come to the security desk. Empowered Psychiatry is located in Building 2 on the 4th floor. Security is available on site to assist in locating this office.

From the security desk, take a left and walk down the path until you see a building with a red overhang. This is building two. Please enter and take the elevator to the 4th floor.

Exiting the elevator, turn left to see a desk with a front office staff member, inform them of your arrival for Empowered Psychiatry and they will notify us to come greet you!
